This self-guided tour combines Japan's main highlight destinations with a two night stay in the glorious Kiso Valley. The Kiso area offers spectacular views of the natural scenery where you can soak in the spiritual, tranquil atmosphere this area is so famous for.
Walk part of the ancient Nakasendo pilgrimage trail between the two post-towns Magome and Tsumago. Along the trail you will find spectacular views of Japan's countryside, English signage and a few small tea houses where you can take a break from the hiking if needed. The Nakasendo trail is easy to moderate level of difficulty and takes 2-3 hours to complete.

Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street - Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as "Nakamise" stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.
