Continue your exploration of Nagoya today by visiting the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. The Museum is a 20 min walk from Nagoya Station or one stop on the Meguru Loop bus.
The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology (09:30 – 16:30/JPY500) is housed in parts of the original redbrick buildings which date back to the Taisho period (around the 1910s). The museum is home to around 4,000 exhibits which are spread over a number of areas including the Textile Machinery Pavilion, the Automobile Pavilion and Technoland.
Next, visit the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park - Central Japan Railway's train museum. To get there, return to Nagoya Station and board an Aonami line train to the end station Kinjofuto Station. The Railway Park is just a short walk from here. Learn about the latest train technology in Japan (high speed trains, magnetic levitating). The museum has several interactive exhibitions which is enjoyable for children and adults alike. Do not miss Japan’s largest train dioramas while you are there.
Return to Nagoya Station in the evening. Before you return to your hotel, activate your Japan Rail Pass at the Japan Rail Pass Exchange Corner (open 10:00am-18:00pm) located at JR Nagoya Station in the Concourse by the Central Ticket Gate.
